Run 8 has released their first route since Version 3 hit the market earlier this year. The latest route the UP Roseville Sub is sure to impress. Included in the route is 255 miles of main line track starting just West of Roseville, California the track winds its way through the foothills of the Sierra Nevada and ultimately cresting the mighty Sierra Nevada Mountain passes before starting its decent though Truckee, Reno and Sparks. Along the way there are plenty of industries to work not to mention about 20 tunnels one of which is almost 2 miles long!

This route typlicaly will see about 24 trains daily mostly UP with BNSF sharing trackage rights as well as one daily Amtrak in each direction, the California Zephyr. There are major yards at each end of the route. The JR Davis Yard is featured in Roseville, Ca and the Sparks Terminal can be found in Sparks, Nevada, just east of Reno.  The developers also complemented the route by including roughly 15 miles of the Valley subdivision to provide more industry switching out of Roseville.
